Hinduism is regarded as the oldest religion in the world and it is the world’s third largest religion by population. Scholars regard Hinduism as a way of life, which is a fusion of various Indian cultures and traditions. Hinduism comprises the plurality of religious phenomena of India. Although Hinduism contains a broad range of philosophies, it is linked by shared concepts, recognizable rituals, cosmology, shared textual resources, pilgrimage to sacred sites and the questioning of authority. Unlike most other religions, Hinduism has no single founder, no single scripture, and no commonly agreed set of teachings. It is also closely associated conceptually and historically with the other Indian religions Jainism, Buddhism and Sikhism.

Hinduism has spread to Poland through ISKCON missionaries (International Society for Krishna Consciousness) since 1976. The first Polish Hindu temple was established in 1980 in Czarnów, Lower Silesian Voivodeship.

The Hindu temple in Wroclaw was founded in 1989 and now it is nearly 30 years old. It has 2038 followers on Facebook and every Sunday the temple organizes religious and cultural event.
